30A Summer Concert Series Kicks Off June 15 at Arnett’s Gulfside Trails

Summer and live music go together like Oreos and milk. Luckily, there are many great live music venues throughout Destin. And during the summer months, any venue large enough to hold a music-loving crowd is a potential space for bring together audiences with musicians for an evening of live music.

We recently learned that Arnett’s Gulfside Farm and Stables is kicking off its first 30A Summer Concert series. The kick off performance will be held on Thursday evening, June 15 and feature national country artist Kevin Post.

For those not familiar with Post, he has been the guartist for the Blake Shelton for the last eight years and the steel guitarist for the house band on NBC’s The Voice for the last five years. Recently, he performed on The Voice with Rascal Flats playing steel guitar—click here to see the performance on YouTube.

Texas native Post has always been a reluctant singer, preferring the supporting role of sideman musician and background singer. But that does not mean he can’t sing. On his self-produced debut country album, Post delves into his country and blues roots. On the slide guitar tinged title track ‘Run Like Mad’, he draws upon his touring experience to pen an up-tempo melody about a road musician who rashly concludes to pop the question. ‘Falling Much Faster’ finds the softer side of a singer falling ever-deeper in love. All of the songs on the album were written or co-written by Post, except for the effectual soul-groove ‘Power of a Woman’, written by frequent collaborator and cohort Kyle Jennings.

While he has no plans to leave the artist which has brought him back into the limelight for a solo career, he has found an artistic release for the meantime and we’re thrilled he is coming to share his talents with music loving audiences in South Walton and Destin.

The inaugural 30A Summer Concert Series will be held within the air-conditioned indoor space, "The Tack Room." A rustic, intimate live music space on Arnett’s 20-acre horse farm located just one mile north of the beach off Hwy 393. Tickets are only $10 for general admission or $20 for VIP seating.  Beer and wine will be available for purchase inside the venue.
