Corona Virus (COVID-19) Cleaning and Sanitization Process for Our Vacation Rentals
Cleanliness and safety are always a top priority at Newman-Dailey Resort Properties. As such, our team has developed new practices that achieve the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitization as recommended by the CDC to prevent the spread of Corona Virus (COVID-19) and in line with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation recommended safety measures.

OUR COMMITMENT TO GUESTS:
Cleaning Inspection Standards
We will continue our 65-point cleaning and inspection that exceeds the requirements outlined in the VRHP professional standards.
All housekeepers and inspectors wear protective gear, including face masks, when cleaning rentals.
CDC Approved Cleaning Agents
All Newman-Dailey cleaners are trained in CDC cleaning procedures along with the use of CDC recommended cleaning agents, which are known to kill all known pathogens, including Corona Virus.
Sanitization of ALL Bedding & Linens
All Newman-Dailey rentals will use standardized linens, bedding and towels. ALL linens and towels will be removed, sanitized and professionally laundered between guest arrivals. For guests' safety, back-up blankets and comforters are sealed in bags and stored in closets and are labeled not for use. Protective pillow covers are cleaned and sanitized for additional safety. (If guests are concerned, they may want to bring their own personal pillows for added safety.)
Extended Time Between Guest Check-Ins for Sanitization & Cleaning
Newman-Dailey is employing an extended disinfection period between each departure and arrival. Cleaners are trained in CDC cleaning processes and are using CDC recommended cleaning agents. Upon guest departure, rentals are stripped of ALL linens, bedding, and towels and sprayed with a CDC-approved disinfectant agent that kills up to 21 germs and viruses, including Corona Virus, within three hours. Housekeeping crews will clean and sanitize the vacation rental. Once cleaning is complete, a Newman-Dailey Inspector will examine the vacation rental ensuring housekeeping standards are met. At this time, team members will also disinfect door handles, light switches, and remote controls while surveying the property to ensure rentals are fully sanitized and disinfected prior to guest arrival. (No early check-ins will be permitted to allow ample time for chemicals and cleaning agents to kill germs.) *Not required for stays at Beachside Inn.
Hand sanitizer dispensers have been installed inside the front door of the majority of our vacation rentals so guests, owners, cleaners, and staff can disinfect their hands upon entry or exit.
All contracts will be signed electronically prior to arrival and enhanced direct check-in procedures will allow guests to check-in immediately to their vacation rental home or condominium. All paper products are wrapped and the guest’s welcome bag, which includes arrival information, car passes, and a starter packet of products, will be placed in the rental after inspection.
Guest Commitment to Newman-Dailey
Practice social distancing - Put distance (approximately 6 feet) between yourself and others
Wash your hands often – It is critical to wash hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
Avoid Contact - Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
Wear a cloth face cover in public– When going into a public setting, including community pools, grocery stores, gas stations, etc., wear a face cover to protect others in case you are infected.
Disinfect Your Rental During Your Stay - Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, faucets and sinks. Since vacation rentals do not include daily housekeeping, guests are asked to bring disinfectant wipes and spray just as they would use to disinfect their own home.
